Friday 11th September 2015

Wow! We've only been in for a week and already time has flown by.  This week has been really busy.

In Maths we have been busy working with shapes.  We have learnt lots of new vocabulary -things like, parallel, perpendicular and right angles.  We have looked at different polygons and their properties.

English has been just as busy.  We have learnt all about Egypt.  We have answered questions on it and written a postcard home.  Some interesting facts about Egypt are -it is the 12th largest country in Africa, it is almost twice as big as France and amazingly, Egypt only has 2 seasons (a hot summer and a cool winter).

We have really got going with our Science topic -States of Matter.  This afternoon we have explored solids, liquids and gases.  Take a look at our photos here.

In Computing we started to build our own adventure game called Tomb Raider.  We are using a game making software called Scratch.  Hopefully we will be able to share these games with you when they are complete.  Scratch is a free piece of software that can be found through a Google search.

Thanks for dropping by, see you next time.
