Well hello, and welcome back to the Year 4 blog.
This week in English, we have completed our book `Voices in the Park'. We looked this week at the perceptions of Charles' mum and Smudge's dad. We thought once more about what they said and how they said it and what this told us about their characters.
Check out the online book here.
Then why not try our online quiz here.
In Maths, we have been doing more work on shape -in particular, 2D shapes. We have been looking at triangles, quadrilaterals, parallelograms, trapeziums, kites...exhausting eh?
Would you know your trapezium from your kite? Or your your equilateral triangle from your isosceles? Why not test your knowledge on this link here.
In Science, whilst studying our `Living Things' topic, we have been looking at branching databases.
These are a way of classifying a group of objects. If it has been designed properly, someone else could use the tree to identify one of the objects. It could be used, for example, to classify mini-beasts, musical instruments, white powders or fruit. These are sometimes called `binary tree', as there are only two options - 1 and 0. With this type of tree it is `yes' or `no'.
Take a look.
