Hello and welcome back to our blog!
In English we watched a video clip called Partly Cloudy (see link below) about two very different clouds. From this, we wrote some really sophisticated sentences and then wrote a setting and character description using a wide range of punctuation.

In maths, we have continued with place value including rounding and negative numbers. Children are showing more confidence in this now which is great to see.
We have continued with our topic on ‘Light’ in science and investigated what refraction is. In topic, we used our research to write up factual non chronological reports.
It’s been an action-packed week again in year 6 and as always, your children are working really hard and trying hard.
Thank you for your ongoing support with learning logs, we are thoroughly impressed with the effort some children have put in with them.
