Welcome back to the Year 5W blog.
This week we have been busy preparing for our Easter Assembly. We have been practising the songs and rehearsing our lines ready to show off to you next Thursday afternoon. The children, as always, are AMAZING!!!!
Maths - This week we have tackled adding fractions. Some of us even managed to move on to subtracting fractions! We looked at adding fractions with the same denominator as well as different denominators. For those, we had to find the lowest common multiple and make the denominators the same.
English – We have continued to look at a wordless book entitled Tuesday, by David Weisner. We have continued to write our own version of the book. Next week, we hope to show them to the Year 6 children.
Topic – We have been looking at Greek artefacts, in particular Greek vases. The children have designed their own Greek vase and will be making one over the coming weeks.

This week’s certificate winner is Callum H for being a kind and supportive friend and sharing his part in the Easter production, allowing someone else to join in. A big well done from us all.
