English
We have read the story 'Spinderella' this week by Julia Donaldson. We designed our own bad character to put into the story. Then we wrote a poster to warn the other spiders to stay away from her!
Maths
In maths this week we have continued to learn about addition. We have used the part-whole models to partition numbers in different ways and learn about number bonds. We worked systematically to find all the number bonds for numbers within 10 and record them in number sentences.
Science
We have started to learn about seasons. We went on an autumn walk to look for signs of autumn. We have learned about different signs we can look for to say that it is autumn. In the ALPs we found red and orange leaves, acorns, blackberries and mushrooms. We couldn't find any conkers! Please can you have a look for conkers as we couldn't find them on our walk today!
Topic
We have started our new topic, 'Hot and Cold' we have been looking at our holiday pictures and sorting them into hot and cold places. Thank you to all of our grown ups for helping us to find some pictures!
