Westfield Community School A beacon of hope (Ofsted)

Friday 31st March

We have had a very busy week!

Thank you first of all to everyone who came to Parents' Evening over the two week. We value your support at home.

English

In English this week, we told a recount of our school trip to the farm. We then continued with 'The Enormous Turnip'. We have retold the story and we tried to include the er and est suffixes.

Maths

In maths this week we have had assessments, but also learnt about finding 1/2 and 1/4 of quantities.

Topic

As part of our topic, Farmer Farmer, we have been learning about where food comes from. So we decided to have a very British picnic and we made sandwiches and scones. We had a lovely time in the sunshine!

We hope you have a lovely Easter break. We're looking forward to seeing you all refreshed on Tuesday 18th April.

Lots of love,

Miss Rose, Mrs Grimes and Mrs Folksman

P.S. Don't forget to vote for your favourite song for assembly at the bottom of the page.

Finally, have your say.  Each week you will have a chance to decide on which new song we will learn in next week's whole school assembly.  Click on the link below to take part in an online vote.
