Sensory Garden July 8

The gardeners have been extremely busy over the last few weeks.  They have created a sensory garden using a variety of herbs, including sage, thyme, lavender and rosemary.  The children were fascinated by the scent and we talked about how these herbs can be used when cooking.  See the photographs below.

They have also been weeding and watering the fruit and vegetables which are coming on very well.

This week is sadly our last week before the summer break and we are going to have a party to say a big thank you to our helpers.  We will however be returning in September for more gardening and we can then harvest our vegetables and cook some of the produce.

I would like to say a big thank you to all our staff helpers, Mrs Pennington, Mr Crook, Mrs Lyon and Mrs Maloney and Mr Barlow (Governor) and of course our gardeners who have been amazing.

Have a great summer and get gardening!!
