11.11.22

Hi Everyone,

This week we have shown our respect by completing our two minute silence on Remembrance day as well as learning about the significance of this day and creating our poppy tributes. Well done everyone.

In English this week we have been writing a description of the whale from the Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson. Did you know humpback whales have bumpy heads? We explored how big a whale actually is and looked at some different words which mean the same as big. Some of the words we thought of were; huge, gigantic, giant, enormous and massive.

Maths

In Maths we have been learning about number bonds (pairs of numbers which add to the same amount) and finding missing parts in our part whole model. We really like the Save the whale game - see link below.

Topic

In topic we have made our clay sculptures of our faces. These were really tricky but we can't wait to bring them home soon. We have also been thinking about what we see on our walk to school and we learnt that our school in on Montrose Avenue in Wigan.

Have a great weekend!
