Hi everyone,

We hope you all had a lovely long weekend celebrating a moment in our British history crowning our new King. Don't forget to send us your photos on Weduc of your celebrations, we would love to see them!

Maths

In maths this week we have continued to focus on multiplication. Please keep helping us to practise counting in 2s, 5s and 10s from 0, we need to be confident with this. We have looked at equal and unequal groups and realised that multiplication is repeated addition. We will continue to look at this next week.

English

This week in English we have planted some seeds and written our own instructions for others to follow if they wanted to plant seeds. The seeds are growing nicely on the window ledge at the moment, we will have a closer look at them next week and send them home for you to look after at home before half term.

Science

In science we have continued our learning about plants. This week our focus was on trees. We looked again at the different parts of the tree and specifically looked at the leaves. We found out that evergreen trees keep their leaves all year round and have thin leaves. Whereas deciduous trees have large flat leaves and they lose their leaves in autumn.

Topic

In topic this week we checked how well we have remembered everything we have been learning so far about the equator , North Pole and SOuth pole and what it is like in areas of the world near to the equaotr and far from the equator.

Computing

We have continued our ebooks on Purple Mash, this week we have spent time writing and illustrating the pages of our story so that we can animate and add sounds in the coming weeks. We're really excited to share these with you son! (I just need to figure out how!!)

Have  a lovely weekend!
