17.3.23

Hello everyone!

Thank you for your support again this week.

English

In English we have been working on colour poems. We learnt this one about the colour green:

Green

Green is a juicy apple,

Green is a hissing, slithering snake,

Green is the rolling hills and beautiful countryside,

Green is an emerald in a golden ring,

Green is the wispy grass blowing in the wind.

Now we are planning our own colour poem and we will be writing it on Monday!

Maths

In maths this week we have been learning and length and height. We practised measuring using cubes as a non-standard unit of measure and then used a ruler to measure in centimetres. It was very tricky to get the ruler in the right place!

Topic

In topic this week we focused on Neil Armstrong, we learnt a little bit about him and what his life was like. Did you know he flew over 200 different aircraft in his career?

We watched his famous first steps on the moon, "That's one small step for man, and one giant leap for mankind.." Next week we will learn about Tim Peake!

Computing

We have been learning to use a website called Paintz.app to create digital artwork. Look at our digital artwork inpired by Piet Mondrian from last week.

Have a lovely weekend!
