Welcome back! We hope you had a great Easter break
English
This week we have been working on retelling The Gingerbread Man story. We have even started adding a few more details to tell us about the characters who were chasing the delicious Gingerbread Man. There was a beautiful horse with a long, black tail and a black and white cow with pink udders. Finally the cunning fox guzzled the Gingerbread man up!
Maths
In maths this week we have started to look at multiplication. We learnt about equal and unequal groups and started to make equal groups. We found out that when we are counting in 2s, 5s and 10s, we are adding equal groups of these numbers. We're still really trying hard to count in 2s, 5s and 10s and to count and recognise all of out numbers to 100. Please continue to help us with this at home.
Science
We have started to learn about parts of a plant this week. We can label a plant now to show its stem, leaves, flower and roots.
Topic
In Topic we have started to learn about hot and cold places. We learnt about what to wear on a hot day out and what to wear on a cold day out. Thank you to everyone who sent some photos in for us to look at and see if we could figure out if we were enjoying a hot or cold day out.
Alps
We went to the alps this week to see if we coudl spot any of the plant parts we have been learning about.
