Hello!
We have had a fabulous week! Excitingly, we have begun a World Cup topic! On Tuesday, our names and 'football country' were drawn out of a hat. We then set to work...Our first task was to find out the capital city, the national flag and an AMAZING fact. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Also, in class now, we have a fabulous World Cup display which will be added to throughout the half term.
In English, we have written a review about trainers as well as creating a perfect paragraph after watching a video clip of the group Bars and Melody from Britain's Got Talent. We worked as pairs and amazed Mrs France with our fantastic writing!
We have continued to hone our mathematical skills and covered a variety of topics this week, from place value to fractions.
Some of Year 6 and Mrs Cosgrove are joining the choir tonight to take part in the Max Factor final - they have done so well to get there and we wish them LOTS OF LUCK - GO WESTFIELD CHOIR!!!!!
Our pupil of the week is Callum, who has been a superstar worker throughout the week! Mrs France was so impressed that he asked, "Can I write some more please?"
