29th April

We have continued learning about the life cycle of a butterfly this week and watched the clip above during our carpet sessions.

The children are getting very good now with the order of the days in the week.  Daily we talk about what day it is, what day is was yesterday and what we do on each day.  The Very Hungry Caterpillar story has helped us to remember the order of the days too!

This week we have also been practising copy-writing our names.

Alicja and Finley have learned to write the first letter in their name without any support!  We are very proud of you both.

This week we made it onto the school newsletter!

Our caterpillars are growing every single day and are getting big and fat just like the Very Hungry Caterpillar.

We have all named all caterpillars now.

Some fo the names are:

Elsa, Rubble, Dinosaur, Harry Potter, Grandad, Summer, Spiky, Demi, Everest, Ava, Ivy, Caterpillar, Chucky, Skye and Five.

We are very excited to watch them build their cocoons (well technically it is a chrysalis as they are butterflies not moths!) and emerge as beautiful butterflies!
