Hello, welcome back! We hope you all had a lovely half term holiday.
English
This week in English we have been focusing on the Julia Donaldson story, The Snail and the Whale. We have really enjoyed this story and we plan to use this as a focus for our writing for the next few weeks. This week we have been writing a description of the snail concentrating on including adjectives in our writing.
Maths
We have continued to focus on addition. We have been using our tens frames (see link below) to help us to add and find all the different ways to make the number - these are called number bonds.
Science
In science we started to learn about the four seasons. We learnt that it is autumn at the moment so we went on an autumn walk to the alps to look for signs of autumn. What signs of autumn can you find when you are out and about?
Topic
This week we have continued with our topic from last half term and we have practised skills in clay which we will use to make a sculpture.
