What another busy week!
English
In English this week we have been learning the Jack and the Beanstalk story, we have drawn our story map and learnt the story using pictures and actions. Then we used them to write the story.
Maths
In maths we have been learning about length and height. We were comparing height using the language of tall, taller, tallest and same and compared length using the language of short, shorter, shortest and same. Then we the length of objects using cubes.
Topic
We have started the DT (Design and Technology) part of our topic and we have been learning about where our food comes from. We learnt that food comes from plants and animals. Then we designed a sandwich to make next week using ingredients from plants and animals.
Science
In science we have been looking at different animal parts and comparing the body parts we have to different animals to see what is similar and different. We found animals with fur like dogs or scales like lizards, animals with beaks and wings like penguins and animals with fins, scales and a tail like a clown fish.
Computing
In computing we have continued to learn about algorithms and gave instructions with our friends to be a human crane.
