This week we have been reading the story 'Dear Zoo'.
We have been looking at the story and guessing what could be in each of the containers, talking about the size of the animals, what noises they make and which animal we like the best.
The children also enjoyed playing with the animals and re-creating the story in the continuous provision. It was wonderful to see the children using the vocabulary from the story in their independent play!
We have also enjoyed going out on a local walk to collect resources to use in the classroom. It is lovely to see all of the leaves falling down from the trees. They make amazing creative area resources!
We have introduced the 'pom pom jar' into our classroom. Whenever somebody in our classroom follows our golden rules or completes an amazing piece of work, they can put a pom pom in the jar. When the jar is full, we will have a special class treat!
We have also celebrated 2 birthdays in our classroom this week.
