Welcome back to our blog.
Today the children had an exciting virtual visit from the author Jacqueline Wilson via Zoom. She talked about her love of reading as a child, how she became an author, which her favourite novels are that she has written and about her new book The Primrose Railway Children. She described it as a re-imagining of the children’s classic The Railway Children by E. Nesbitt. Some pupils may like to find this book under the tree on Christmas Day!
In Maths we have been working hard to compare and order fractions and convert between mixed numbers and improper fractions. The secret to success with fractions is really secure knowledge of the times table facts so please encourage your child to practise these daily, using TT Rockstars or Hit the Button, linked below.

Our certificate winner was chosen for her continued effort and enthusiasm during all subjects but particularly when writing the ending to our story Feast this week.
