Friday 13th June 2014

Well hello, and welcome once again to our blog!

What a really busy week we have had.  We have taken all of our Year Five end of year tests...and, even if we say so ourselves, we think we have done really rather well.  It's amazing how much progress we have made this year: the things that we have learnt and the confidence we have in tackling new problems.  Yes, we should be proud of ourselves (our teachers are certainly proud of us).

Other news breaking (because we have done other things apart from tests, don't you know)...In CfL we looked at some Water Aid advertisements.  These had really powerful images and messages about how a lack of water in some countries can affect lives.  We then designed our own Water Aid posters...we'll post some next time.

Today, we made our own water collages using tissue paper -these were amazing too!!!

Guess who won the Pupil of the Week for the Upper Phase?   Go on, have a guess...No, not Mr Price -he's not a pupil (though he does act like a child at times)...No, not Santa...Okay, we'll give you a clue.  The certificate read -

" of all the stars that have shone brightly this week,............ has shone the brightest.  All of her hard work this year as helped her to smash her targets'

It was our very own Emma!!!

Pupil of the Week -Emma!

Well that's it for this week...Oh, nearly forgot!  It was our song choice this week for assembly.  Here's what we chose -

Our Assembly Song Choice

Next week, on Wednesday and Thursday, children will meet their new class teachers.  We're sure that the new teachers will be so impressed.

We'll see you all next week, bye for now!
