Friday 17th February

Good morning and welcome to our last blog of this half term. It has been a busy half term and the children have worked really hard.

Maths - This week the children have been investigating the relationship between different units of measurement. They have been converting between g and kg, ml and l, m and km, cm and m as well as mm and cm.

English -  This week the children have enjoyed reading the ending of our class novel, Letters From the Lighthouse. They have really enjoyed the story of Olive (an evacuee from London) and her family during WW2. We have also had time to squeeze in a short class novel by Michael Morpurgo entitled The Mozart Question, as well as a short biography about Anne Frank and her time in hiding.

Our certificate winner this week is Lyla for her all round enthusiasm and effort offering valuable contributions across the board! What a super certificate winner! Well done from all of Year 6W! smileysmileysmiley

We hope you all have a wonderful half term break. Fingers crossed we will have dry weather as there are signs of spring being on the way! School re-opens on Monday 27th February, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back.
