Friday 19th November
Wow, what a fantastic session we had today with our visiting poet Andy Tooze! He gave us lots of tips and tricks for writing our own poetry. Andy set us the challenge of writing a poem entitled Twenty words about __________ - only 20 words allowed! Oh, and we only had 7 minutes to write it! Of course, we rose magnificently to the challenge, as you can see in a selection of our poems below.
Twenty words about Poppies by Lacey
We love flowers
but what about poppies?
Red or purple
take your pick.
When you wear them
you feel proud!
Twenty words about Football by Alfie D
When you watch your team,
they score, you start to scream,
you smile and gleam
and you love your team!
Twenty words about Mr Lizard by Jason
I find a lizard, alone and scared
without a tail
but it magically grows a new one.
I wonder how?

Dancing babies: jump and scream
Dancing babies: bounce and hop
Dancing babies: wiggle and giggle
