Our history topic this half-term is the ancient Maya civilisation of central America. We have learned about their very advanced number system, which used a dot to represent 1, a line to represent 5 and a shell for 0. We investigated their numbers using small sticks and popcorn kernels.
Our pupil of the week was chosen for a stunning piece of writing , based in the well-known poem The Highwayman. His writing was thoughtful, emotive and heartfelt. Well done!
