In English this week, we have been reading 'The Gruffalo,' by Julia Donaldson. We have been sequencing pictures in the order the mouse met the characters and sounding out sentences to retell the story.
In Maths, we have been comparing quantities. We have been learning the words greater than, less than and equal to and the corresponding symbols.
In Science, we have been learning about the properties of materials. The children felt lots of different materials and decided if they were hard or soft. We decided that things that were hard weren't able to be squashed and things that were soft were.
In topic, we have been talking about our favourite toys. We have many different toys that we like in our class. We have asked the children to talk to parents and grandparent about their favourite toys too. We will be rewarding the children with well done tokens for completing their homework and bringing in pictures.
Well done to all the children who are bringing their reading bags and books in daily. They have been collecting up lots of stickers this week.
