Friday 27th January

Good morning and welcome to our blog for this week.

Maths - This week the children have continued their work on percentages. They have bee using the bar model method to work out the original price of goods after they have been discounted. Also, they have been investigating how fractions, decimals and percentages are all equivalent.

English - This week the children have been investigating life as a WW2 evacuee. They have read letters sent home by actual evacuees, read extracts from fictional books set during the war, watched an interview with a person who was evacuated as well as a short animation depicting a young boy's experience of being evacuated. They have begun to write their own letter home as an evacuee.
