Friday 28th November 2014

Welcome to year 4 W's blog.

We have had a great week (as always) in our class so read on and enjoy!surprise

In Literacy this week we have been looking at the author and poet Allan Ahlberg and his book of poems called Please Mrs Butler. The children have thoroughly enjoyed listening to these poems (as have the teachers!) no

In Numeracy we have been completing assessment sheets this week and all the children have worked really hard and put in lots of effort so they all deserve a big pat on the back !frown

In French with Mrs Wilson we have had a fabulous time making up our own little rhymes about Westfield Zoo. The children are able to say the name of the animals, the size of the animals and their colour !

In P.E this week we went into the hall to practise some Gymnastics. Working with a partner the children had to trust each other as they supported each others weight ! they also had to try and move from a sitting position to standing up straight WITHOUT using their hands. EASY you may think?... Have a try at home its harder than you think !cheeky

A big well done to Nikyta our Lower Keystage 2 trophy winner in this weeks assembly. She was picked this week due to her fantastic Learning Log work that she has been completing at home. frown

Have a safe weekend and we will see you bright and early Monday morning.(Doors open 8.35pm)

See you all Monday  Mr Price , Mrs Pickavance and Mrs Charnock xxx
