As Pre-school comes to an end I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the Team in Pre-school Room 1, to wish all the children lots of love and luck in their new classes.
Keep shining and being amazing, just like you have been for us!

As for myself, my Pre-school journey is also coming to an end

after 17 wonderful years.
I am also going on a new adventure to ‘Big school’ like the children. I would just like to thank all the children, parents and families for being so incredible and always being so supportive of all that we do in Pre-school. Your kind words this week have been so overwhelming, thank you.  It’s impossible to put into words how much I will miss all the children. Thankyou everyone, for everything. Kerry.

PRE-SCHOOL ROOM 1 GRADUATION CLASS 2023

JELLY BEANS TRIP - We have organised an end of year trip to Jellybeans Soft play area in Warrington on Wednesday 19th July. ALL pre-school Room 1 children are invited. If you would like your child to attend, the cost is £13 payable in cash at the gate. Last date for payments is Friday 7th July. 

PRE-SCHOOL SPORTS DAY - A fantastic morning in the sunshine for our Sport’s day. The children were amazing and so confident to take part in the 3 races.

We are super proud of them all.

And Parents…….Thankyou for your participation too, the children were made up to see you joining in .

on the main school field. If your child does not usually attend on a Wednesday morning, please bring them

to the classroom at 10am. 

Smithill's Open Farm Trip (Thursday 25th May) - What a wonderful day! The children were all super stars. We had such a lovely day stroking, holding and feeding the animals, we went on a donkey and tractor ride and played on the big park! High five to all the children.

Pre-school will close for half term after session on,

Friday 26th May and re-open on TUESDAY 6th June. 

THURSDAY CHILDREN ONLY - If you wish for your child to join us on our trip to Smithill's open farm on Thursday 25th May, please pay the £15 cash and return your consent form no later than the 12th May.

Reminder - Pre-school Room 1 is closed on

Monday 1st and Monday 8th May for bank holiday.

Pre-school will close for the Easter holidays, after session on

Friday 31st March and re-open on Monday 17th April.

We are very sad to say Miss Heyes will be leaving us at the end of term. We wish her lots of luck in her new role. The staff and children will miss her very much.

A wonderful visit on the 27th March for the Monday afternoon children from

The Little Barn Farm. Farmer Natalie brought some lovely animals for us to stroke/hold. We met Bertie the Guinea pig and Rose the Rabbit. We took it in turns to hold them and stroke their super soft fur. We then went to see the bigger animals in their pens, Jacob the sheep, Rosie the calf and Bob the goat.

You may have noticed it has become a little bit busier at the gate, last week we had 10 new children start with us. Please could we ask that Parents/carers line up at the gate as we bring the children in and out at the beginning and end of the day, to avoid the entrance being as busy.

Stay and Play - A big thank you to all parents/carers/grandparents who came to our Stay and Play session. This is a lovely opportunity to come into the classroom and join in activities with your child. Who enjoyed icing a yummy gingerbread man or decorating a sparkly Christmas tree or using the play dough to make different shapes?

Christmas event diary dates: If your child attends on these days - 

Thursday 8th December - National Christmas jumper day: Your child is welcome to wear a Christmas jumper/t-shirt or own clothes on this day. 

Wednesday 14th December - Stay and Play: You will have received a text message with what time you are invited to your child's Stay and Play session. If you have not received a message, please let Kerry know. Stay and Play is a lovely opportunity to come into the classroom and join in activities with your child. Hope you can join us!

Friday 16th December - Last day before we finish for the Christmas break. It is also Party day and ALL children are invited. Please see your text message for your child's information. If you have not had a message, please speak to Kerry.

Letters have now been sent home with information about our Christmas Nativity.

You do not need to provide a costume.

Pre-school Room 1's Christmas Nativity is on Tuesday 6th December at 10am

in the main school hall.

The children have been brilliant in practice.

Each child can bring 2 grown-ups to watch them - you do not need tickets.

If your child does not usually attend on a Tuesday morning - They need to be here for 8.50am and then collected after the performance.

EXCITING NEWS - SAVE THE DATE!

Pre-school Room 1 Christmas Nativity play will take place at

10am on TUESDAY 6TH DECEMBER in the main school hall.

2 grown-ups per child are invited to watch!

What a lovely Stay and Play day! A big thank you to all the parents/carers who attended, it was so wonderful to see you back in our classroom.

Don’t worry if you missed it this time, there will be opportunities again to join us!
