We celebrated a birthday with yummy cake. Happy birthday from all your friends in the sunflower room.

The children have had so much fun washing the dolls clothes and pegging them on the washing line they all got really involved and participated for a long period using there own imaginations.

We went indoors to dry off from the rainy weather, the children had a blast in the soft play area.

We celebrated the royal 👑 wedding 🎩 👰 by making our own decorations, coming to nursery wearing red,white and blue and having our very own street party 🎊 It was lots of fun take a look .....

Our focused activity this week was transporting, pouring, filling and emptying water using different containers down the guttering pipes. The children had lots of fun during this activity.

We love to explore with water play, especially on warm sunny days.

We tackled the flower beds by weeding, digging and planting new flowers 🌹 💐

Our focused activity was for children to explore shapes and patterns using pre-drawn shapes children were encouraged to draw round shapes and learn about the name of shapes. Look at the children’s fantastic work 😀

We celebrated Elliott’s 3rd birthday we sang happy birthday and ate yummy cake 🎂 happy birthday Elliott from all your friends in the sunflower room.

We have been learning how to operate v-tech toys and toys with mechanisms.

The children show interest in toys with buttons, flaps and simple mechanisms and are beginning to operate them.

we have been learning how to dress and undress using the dressing up clothes to develop our self help skills and independence.

we had lots of fun painting on tin foil we are becoming very creative

Our focused activity was exploring how musical instruments sound we can bang, shake, tap and blow to create different sounds. Take a look .....

We have been learning how to operate and work the remote control cars. The children had lots of fun.

Messy play is such fun we have been hiding and finding minibeasts.

We are becoming fab at brushing our teeth everyday. Well done everyone 👏

We made yummy 😋 sandwiches 🥪 for snack they was delicious we explored what foods we liked and disliked.

During half term we changed our role play into the Sunflower hair salon 💇‍♂️ 💇‍♀️ The children showed lots of imagination and explored hairdressing resources showing good understanding of what the equipment was used for. Take a peek at our little hairdressers at work .....

Welcome to the Sunflower Salon 💇‍♀️

Balloon painting - the children enjoyed painting with the balloons this was child initiated so each child used a different approach with making connections between their movements and marks they made. It was such a fun activity!

Our focused activity this week was investigating various technology and how to control it. We explored using the remote control cars, using the IPAD to take pictures around the room and toys with push, pull, lift and press parts.

During group work children explored various activites- identifying and naming shapes, building towers with various contruction toys and fitting shapes into jigsaws and shape sorters.

We explored media and paints to make Mother's Day cards and crafts. All the children did really well to make their own creations. We hope you all have a beatutiful Mother's Day

It was a cold, snowy week again so we took the opprotunity to enjoy exploring the snow in the outdoor area. The children had a blast with the snow

During group work we have been praticing dressing/undressing, the children all did fantastic and tried really hard to acheive putting on coats, shoes and wellies.

Big High Five well done!!!!

Robyn had great fun showing children how to do handstands, the crab, roly polys and lots of other moves in the hall, the children were fab at having a go themselves Take a look .....

It was a cold and snowy week we took the opportunity to have real snow in the sand tray and make snowmen, we also enjoyed bubble painting and explored the snow outdoors. It’s was great fun!
