Thursday 2nd April

Thursday 2nd April

Welcome back to the Year 5W blog.

This week we have been busy rehearsing for our ‘ eggscellent ’  Easter Assembly, which took place this afternoon. Thank you to all the parents, aunties, uncles and grandparents that came along to watch the children perform. We are sure you enjoyed it as much as we all did and will agree that the children were all AMAZING.

On Thursday morning, we shared our wordless books with Year 6W. It gave us the opportunity to show off our fantastic versions of Tuesday, all about an invasion of frogs. Also, we were able to enjoy looking at Year 6’s wordless books which were called The Man that Walked between the Towers. Here are some pictures from the session we shared together…

Thank you to all the parents and children who entered the annual EASTER EGG COMPETITION. We were very impressed with all the entries. As always, your imagination and creative skills just amaze us! Congratulations to our overall winner Andrew for his ‘eggstraordinary ’ design, entitled POSTCARD.

A big well done to all the entrants, who have all received a small egg for their efforts. Here are some pictures of all the wonderful eggs from our class this year.

This week’s certificate winner is THE WHOLE OF YEAR 5W for their ‘eggscellent ‘ dress rehearsal in front of the rest of school. We are sure they will be just as ‘eggstraordinary ‘ for their parents this afternoon!

Enjoy the Easter break. We hope the Easter Bunny arrives with lots of eggs for you all. We look forward to seeing you all back in school on MONDAY 20TH APRIL.
