During outdoor play we have been concentrating on using our gross motor skills to carry out different movements. The children initiated running races, waiting for the instruction, ready, steady, go and seeing who could run super fast. As a team we made a balancing obstacle course and practiced jumping off and landing safely on two feet.
Wow look how big our caterpillars have grown! The children are loving watching them change. We have been learning about the butterfly life cycle and predicting what change will happen next.
The children love to dress up. This is brilliant for their imaginative skills, including their language skills to role play a character, such as, mum, dad, princess, superheroes.
We are so proud of you! Anelissa has only recently joined the name group and is making super progress with writing recognisable letters. She has worked really hard and that makes us so happy. High five!
All children in the name group are bringing a pack home this week with a laminated name card and pen. This is not homework but a lovely opportunity for them to practice and show you what superstars they are.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
