Bucket Time
bucket time is a listening and attention activity for children, the rule is that the children are not allowed to touch the toys during bucket time as the “magic” won’t work. We try to keep their attention by asking questions and using repetitive language encouraging the children to copy this. We model each toy and what the toy does, “lights, flashing lights” “spinning” “round and round” “big ball” “spiky ball””stretchy”, the children thoroughly enjoy this😀 watch the videos to see.
If you would like to try this at home with your child all you will need is a bucket or something to hide toys in, then reveal the toy to your child and ask “what is it” and encourage a response, use lots of different language and single words😀👍 we would love to hear if you have tried this and what outcome you have got and some pictures/videos you may have🙂

Wednesday we took a small group to the library, the children really enjoyed exploring and reading stories, but most of all they enjoyed the chocolate biscuit off a kind lady who worked there😋

We celebrated a birthday early today as it falls in the half term😀 wishing you a big happy 3rd birthday, hope you have a lovely day🥳
