This week we have been busy learning all about The Three Little Pigs. We have explored lots of different experiences linked to this lovely traditional story. Let's have a little look at this weeks learning .......

We created a tuff tray with all of the things needed to be able to build a house. Here we are exploring building a house of sticks, bricks and straw 

We explored retelling the story about The Three Little Pigs. We looked at the pictures and put them into the correct order. We talked about what happened first, in the middle and at the end of the story. 

As part of our Talk4writing we have been using the story and innovating it. This is where we change the characters, events or outcomes of the story. This gives us a lot of opportunities to be creative and explore our own ideas. Take a look at these wonderful examples. We are very proud 

We have also been looking at the part whole model. We have had some amazing success with this strategy in class. We have been able to select numbers, talk about them and work out simple addition sentences. Why not ask your child to show you? I know you will be super impressed 

We have also been exploring music and movement in PE. We have played so many wonderful games that involve listening and moving and creating balances and poses. Amazing! 

Next week we will be using the text The Runaway Pancake to help us with our learning. We will be finding lots of similarities between this story and the Gingerbread Man. We look forward to lots more new learning next week.
