Week Ending 13th January
Welcome back to our blog! This week we have focused on our text of the week 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. We have completed lots of lovely activities relating to our story such as retelling the story with a story map, hot seating to pretend we were in the story and creating characters to be a part of our own version of the story. We also made some collage of the magic beans! Have a look at some fantastic examples.
In the story, we heard how Jacks Mum threw the magic beans out of the window and the beanstalk grew. We planted some seeds ourselves and have loved watching them grow. We cant wait to see what it looks like next week!
We went on a letter hunt using our Phonics knowledge...
We even painted our own beanstalks to place on our display in the classroom!
Next week we will be learning all about Chinese New Year.
Don't forget, the loan library will be out on the playground every Thursday so please return your book and swap for a new, exciting one!
