Week Ending 19th May
Hello and welcome back to our class blog. We have had a lovely week focusing on our text 'A Squash and a Squeeze'.
We have been looking at sequencing the story and had a go and drawing all of the characters and thinking when they arrive in the story. We have completed some fantastic pieces of work. Our grown ups were so proud!
We used our small world characters to act out the story of A Squash and a Squeeze. We are becoming very familiar with this story and can even repeat some of the phrases that repeat in the story.
We completed some observational drawings of the beautiful flowers that Mrs Evans kindly lent to us. We looked at the different shapes and colours and tried to copy them.
On Friday morning, we were lucky enough to welcome our grown ups into class for a stay and play. This week, our focus was writing. Each table had a focus on a different Julia Donaldson book. A huge thank you to our grown ups for taking time to come into school to spend time with us and find out more about our learning.
Next week our text of the week is 'The Snail and the Whale'. We cant wait to learn more about this story.
