week ending 1st July 2022

Hello and welcome back to our class blog. This week has been super busy as always and we have been really enjoying our last Julia Donaldson text - Room on the Broom. Amazing. Here are the highlights of the week smiley

We started the week off with a celebration. Sienna brought in her rosette to share with us. She shared why it was so special and exactly what it was given for - 3d place in a Guinea Pig Competition. Wonderful.  We love to see the things that the children enjoy doing in their spare time and if you have any medals, trophies etc that you would like us to look at we would be more than happy to do so!

We explored retelling the story of Room on the Broom. We took on different characters, used different voices and generally had a great time exploring story telling language. Here we are in action.

We also explored making potions outside. We talked about capacity, numbers, language and developed our PSE skills by working together and sharing ideas and suggestions. Fantastic.

We have also been writing about where we would go should we be lucky enough to have a rid eon a broom stick like the characters from the story. We had some lovely and very imaginative responses. Here are some of them smiley

We have also been busy in continuous provision. We have been exploring the challenges that we plan and sharing how we completed them with both the gown ups and our friends.

Have a lovely weekend in the sunshine

See you all on Monday smiley
