Week Ending 21st October

A big hello and welcome back to our class blog. What a lovely and busy week we have had in Reception F!

A huge thank you to those who attended parents evening. It was lovely to talk to you all about the amazing achievements our children have made since starting school. They really have settled in so well and we have had a great start to the year. We hope you enjoyed getting to look around our learning environment, the children were so excited for you to see where they learn and play.

This week has been our Autumn enhancement week. A HUGE thank you to those who went out on an autumn treasure hunt at the weekend and collected a whole host of interesting natural objects. We looked through each bag in detail and have used our autumn treasures for lots of activities this week.

One of our favourite activities this week was creating some transient artwork using our autumn treasures. We were very creative and made some stick people. Our adults were so impressed with how creatively we used the resources. We think they look amazing... have a look below.

We had a look at what the season Autumn means for our environment. We discovered the change in the trees outside and what happens to the leaves. We painted some pictures using autumn colours. Aren't they beautiful!

We were inspired by Autumn to complete some Maths games and activities. We used a jigsaw to match numeral to quantity.

After the holidays we are looking at our next text which will be 'Jacob O'Reilly Wants a Pet'. Have a look on YouTube at the story, its great!

We hope you have a fantastic week off and a HUGE well done to all of our children for doing such an amazing job settling in to Reception, we are very proud of you all!heart
