A huge hello and welcome to our class blog. Each week we will upload to show you all the wonderful things we have been doing and learning about in class. For our very first blog, we will be having a look at some highlights of the activities we have done since we started in Reception class. 

In our first week, we explored our new classroom and met all of our new friends. We spent lots of time trying to remember all of the other children's names and all of the adults too! We have thoroughly our time investigating everything in our classroom, indoor and outdoor. Have a look at some of the things we got up to...

Each week, we have a focus text. We firstly read the book 'Starting School' and had some great discussions about what our favourite things were about coming to school. 

Our second text was 'Marvellous Me'. We loved this story as we were able to discuss all of the things we are marvellous at both in and out of school. We created superhero's that looked just like us because we all have so many qualities which we think are super! Have a look at some of our work based on this text...

This week our text has been 'On the way home'. We have been so busy exploring this text and completed a lovely activity about our homes. We talked about who lives with us and made our own houses which we then displayed in our classroom. 

In our first few weeks in Maths, we learnt all about numbers. We love to count and play different Maths games.

This week we have learnt about patterns and shapes. We completed a shape printing activity which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Next week our text of the week is 'In Every House on Every Street'. Have a little look at it on YouTube, its a lovely story were sure you'll enjoy.
