week ending 6th November 2020

Hello and welcome back to pour class blog. This week we have been busy using the text What the Ladybird heard to help us with our learning. Another wonderful Julia Donaldson text. Let's have a little look at this weeks fun filled activities
We started the week off by looking at different ladybirds. We talked about symmetry and colours and used the Internet to find out more about where they live and how they live. It was very interesting.
We have also been developing our knowledge about characters. Who they are and what they say in the story. We have been learning about speech bubbles too. We have made our own speech bubbles and added the words the different characters might say. This is a great way of using and applying all of our Read Write Inc letter sounds
We have also been thinking about our number of the week. This week it is number 4. We love to see the children applying these skills and knowledge when playing in the classroom. Remember if you complete any of the number of the week activities at home you can always take a photograph and send it to Mrs Evans on Weduc.
Next week we will be looking at the story Room on a Broom. A firm favourite with us in class. Have a great weekend. Mrs Evans and staff smiley
