week ending 8th July 2022

Hello and a warm welcome back to our class blog. We have has a such a lovely week in class this week using the text Supertato as the focus for our learning. Let's take a little look at this weeks adventures.....

This week we have been busy developing our imaginative skills alongside our writing. We have been thinking about the types of things Superheroes would say.  Take a look at our writing it's amazing. For our final few weeks in Reception we will be looking to develop our independence further. We can't wait to show you!

We have also been busy in the creative area developing our fine motor skills, concentration and creativity in making our own potato superheroes. Have a little look at them. We then used them to create or own stories. Why not have a little try at home? smiley

We have also embraced our Superhero theme outside in the sunshine. The children drew around each other and created new 'friend superheroes' Absolutely brilliant smiley

Next week for our second to last week in Reception crying we will be using the text Bog Baby. A lovely book with fabulous illustrations to help us understand emotions and feelings. The children went through into Year 1 on Friday and had an amazing time and whilst it is sad for Reception staff to see them nearly at the end of their journey with us it is exciting to see them eager and ready for the next part of their learning journey.

Please remember it is the 3 way teacher meetings on Monday - check your times please as this will provide you with the opportunity to meet Miss Lodge and to receive your child's report.

Have a great sunny weekend

Staff and children in Reception smiley
