Week ending Friday 7th January
Hello and welcome back to our class blog.
I hope you have had a lovely Christmas and new year!
I know we have been very excited to come back to school and I can't wait for the term ahead. We are going to have a great term with a focus on Traditional Tales. It is going to be great to read so many different stories for our text of the week and we have a lot planned.
The children have loved coming back to school and we have had a great three days settling back into our classroom routines.
This week we have loved practising our writing. We always have lots of different mark making opportunities and the children have loved them. We have been using whiteboards, speech bubbles and chalk to practice writing using our RWI knowledge.
For our funky fingers challenge today we have been using our elastic band boards to make different shapes. They were brilliant!
We have had a brilliant three days at school! Next week our text of the week is The Gingerbread Man. We can't wait!
