PUPIL PREMIUM STATEMENT 2011-2016

 

The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011.  Since 2011 schools have been allocated additional funding for children from low-income families who are eligible for free meals, looked after children and those from families with parents in the Armed Forces.  The level of premium in 2011-12 was £488 per eligible pupil.  This increased to £619 per eligible pupil in 2012-13 and in 2013-14 increased to £953 per eligible pupil. 

 

The amount per eligible pupil increased again in 2014-15 to £1332.

How this money is continuing to be spent in 2016/17

 

  • To provide additional teachers support in Year 5 and Year 6
  • To provide an Inclusion Management team
  • To provide a Pastoral Team and a Manager with specific responsibility for attendance
  • To provide an effective Assessment package
  • To provide a targeted breakfast club
  • To provide 1-2-1 tuition for pupils requiring additional support
  • To subsidise opportunities for experiential learning
  • To provide targeted interventions
