PUPIL PREMIUM STATEMENT 2011-2018 

 

The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011.  Since 2011 schools have been allocated additional funding for children from low-income families who are eligible for free meals, looked after children and those from families with parents in the Armed Forces.  The level of premium in 2011-12 was £488 per eligible pupil.  This increased to £619 per eligible pupil in 2012-13 and in 2013-14 increased to £953 per eligible pupil.  The current level of Pupil Premium per eligible child is £1332.

How this money is continuing to be spent in 2018/19 

 

  • To provide additional teachers support in Year 6 and Year 4 

  • To provide an Inclusion and Assessment Management team 

  • To provide a Pastoral Team including a part-time Attendance Officer  

  • To provide an effective Assessment package  

  • To provide a targeted before and after school club 

  • To provide 1-2-1 tuition for pupils requiring additional support in Maths 

  • To subsidise opportunities for experiential learning 

  • To provide targeted interventions 

  • To provide ongoing resources and development days for the Read Write, Inc Scheme 

  • To provide additional teaching assistant support 

  • To provide a Counselling Service
