19th January

Hello!

Welcome back!

This week we have been continuing our topic 'People who Help Us'

We have been focussing this week on the dentist.  We have loved turning our role play area into the dentist surgery and exploring the different tools the dentist uses.

We have also been practising our fine motor skills and counting skills by rolling the dice and counting the spots showing on top.  Then we had to take that many teeth out of the playdough mouth!

It was lots of fun and quite tricky to squeeze the tweezers together using just one hand!

We have also been developing our scissor skills and control.  Mrs Littler showed us how to hold the scissors correctly.....look out for the pictures by the painting table to help you!

In addition to this, we have also been creating some amazing art work to put up on the walls in the corridor leading to our classroom.  The children loved the project and we have had so many positive comments about how much it brightens up the space!  Well done boys and girls!
And here are the finished products!

Here are lots more pictures showing you what we have been doing independently in the continuous provision this week!

Oh and a very happy birthday for Saturday!  Hope you enjoy your birthday!

See you all next week!

xx
