Hi

Thanks to everyone who was able to attend the phonics screening check information meeting led by Mrs Woodcock this week. You will also have recieved packs of sounds and words this week from me to practise at home as well as the RWI home learning video links sent via Weduc (these are also available on the blog). Mrs Woodcock says that she will put the information shared on the school website for you to view.

Maths

In maths this week we have been focusin on learning to count in multiples of 2 and 10. We need to practise this skill lots so that we can remember the sequence of numbers. Counting 2p / £2 and 10p coins at home would help us with this.

English

We have continued to focus on The Gingerbread Man this week and we have created our own characters to change from the Gingerbread Man. We have Kit Kat Kids, Cookie Monsters, Muffin Men and Jaffa Cake Kids running away in our stories now!

Science

In science this week we looked at garden and wild plants. We tried to name some common garden and wild plants and explained that garden plants are plants people put in their gardens and look after.

Topic

This week we learnt about the four countries that make up the United Kingdom and found out the weather can be different in different places at the same time. We kept a weather diary this week.

Computing

We started to write our The Gingerbread Man e-book. We have completed writing the first page and illustrating it.

PSHE

Our focus this half term is internet safety. This week we looked at what devices we use to access the internet and what we do on the internet.

Have a lovely weekend!
