Maths
This week our focus has been on comparing numbers. We have used the language of more than, less than, fewer, greater than and equal to to compare quantities. Soon we will be introducing numbers to 20, why not go on a number hunt this weekend and see which numbers you can spot.
English
Our English this week has focused on a story called ‘A Bun in the Sun’. The children have enjoyed this story and have really been trying to use their Fred fingers to spell words.
Topic
In topic this week we recapped how toys had changed over time and created our very own timelines to the changes.
Science
This week we have explored the properties of materials. We used words such as bendy, stretchy, shiny, dull, hard and soft to describe some everyday objects.
Computing
Our focus on algorithms has continued. This week we learnt that our algorithms needed to be precise to enable them to work properly. We made our own algorithms for a crazy character and tested them with our friends.
