Friday 12th January

Happy new year to you all! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and well deserved break!

We have been straight into our learning this week. In maths, we have been learning to multiply and divide by 1 and itself. Then we moved onto multiplying 3 single digits together. Sounds complicated? Well, the class absolutely smashed this work. Have a go at some of the questions below by clicking the link.  https://www.kingsavenueschool.co.uk/assets/Uploads/Year-4-Spring-Block-1-Step-2-VF-Multiply-3-Numbers.pdf

In writing, we have been looking at prepositions. This is where you say where something is in relation to something else. For example... the boy walked over the bridge. The preposition would be over as its telling me where the boy walked. Havea little practise at the work below. https://primarysite-prod-sorted.s3.amazonaws.com/archbishop-courtenay-primary/UploadedDocument/096d281151434617ac6e87e4b496f48b/preposition-detective.pdf

In Science, we have moved onto the water cycle. We had lots of fun on Thursday using the VR headsets to have a look at rivers and how they are formed.

In Geography our new topic is Rivers, we looked at the River Ganges which is in India and we produced some beautiful fact files about it on Wednesday afternoon.
