Friday 13th December

Hi all and welome to our blog.

In English we have been reading different letters to Father Christmas and learning how to write questions. We thought about these to ask him-

How do you get down the chimney's?

How do you fit all of the presents in your sack?

How many elves do you have?

We have now wrote our own letter to Santa asking him for a variety of presents. We tried really hard to independently remember to include a question.

In maths we have been working on different things.

Some children have been learning numbers 6-10.

Some children have been learning numbers 13- 17.

Some children have been learning about the tens and ones in numbers to 20.

In topic we have explored circles similar to the work of Kandinsky. We explored and investigated using paint to create circles and pre-cut tissue circles. We could assemble them however we wanted. We finally made a choice (paint or tissue) for our final piece of art work and chose a black or white background.

Today (Friday) we have all come to school wearing our Christmas jumpers and on Monday we shall enjoy our Christmas Party (wear own clothes).

Have a great weekend, Love Mrs Woodcock and Mrs Folksman
