Friday 13th June

Friday 13th June

(Oooooooooh spooky!!! No walking under ladders or crossing the path of a back cat today!)

Welcome back to Year 5W’s blog. This week has been very busy as it has been our final ASSESSMENT WEEK of the year. We have now completed all our SATS, so can relax and enjoy our remaining time left in Year 5. All our teachers are extremely proud of how hard we have worked, not just this week, but all year! We have really impressed them with our efforts in our tests, as we have all shown great progress in our learning throughout the year.

CFL – This week we have been looking at Water Aid and some of the work it does. Working together in small groups, we have designed persuasive posters to encourage people to donate money to help people around the world to have clean drinking water.

Our Certificate Winners this week are all of Year 5W for commitment, endeavour and application during Assessment Week. They are so ready for Year 6!!!! A big well done from all of their teachers. frown

As we are sure you're all aware by now The 2014 World Cup in Brazil has begun. Don't forget England play their opening match on Saturday at 11pm. We will all be watching at home cheering them on! We hope you enjoy the match too. Fingers crossed for a win against Italy!

As always we hope you all have a fantastic weekend and look forward to seeing you again on Monday.

Goodbye!
