English - This week we have begun our new class novel which is set during the second World War. It is called Letters from the Lighthouse, by Emma Carrol. The book has already got the children hooked in! Here's what the blurb has to say...

...When a WWII air raid happen, Olive's sister -Sukie - goes missing. Oliver and her brother have to be evacuated and meet some people on the way. Now Olive has mystery to solve because she has found a note and she is determined to solve it and find her sister...

Science  - This week the children have started our new topic which is all about the circulatory system and the respiratory system. They began by thinking about how blood gets pumped around our body. They have learned now the heart and lungs work together to pump oxygen rich blood to all the different parts of our bodies.

Here is our certificate winner this week. She won for being a super Y6 role model. Her manners are impeccable, work neatly presented and to her highest standard and she is an absolute pleasure to have in class smiley

All that remains now is to wish you all a happy weekend and we will see you again on Monday yes
