Friday 18th March 22

Welcome back to our Year 4 blog.

This week in History we have been looking at Anglo-Saxon village life.  It's amazing what we have found out about how the Anglo-Saxons lived.  Did you know that they positioned their villages near to water and woods or forests?  They did this so they could use wood to build houses, and water to use for cooking and growing crops.  They also kept livestock -sheep and goats.  Children would often be responsible for looking out for wolves which were wild in Britain during Anglo-Saxon times.  How scary is that?

Anyway, take a look at some of our wonderful Anglo-Saxon village work.

So, week two of our Times Table Rock Stars tournament.  Here are our top 3 team players for both 4F and 4W.

In other news...Our school has loaded onto the Maths Curriculum page links to the White Rose Hub resources that can be used at home with parents to help their children with Maths.  You can find the resources by clicking here
