Hello there - this week has seen Y6F embark on a writing project that aims to use dialogue to establish characters and advance the action - a very tricky skill to do well. We use a technique called EAST (emotion. action, speech and thoughts) as a way of establishing effective dialogue in narratives.
In maths, it has been ratio week. Y6 have been learning how to understand and apply learning of when 2 or more numbers increase/decrease by the same relationship. For instance, a necklace can be made using 3 red beads for every 2 blue beads (3:2) so we can work out how many blue beads there would be if there were 15 red ones or how many blue beads if there were 35 beads altogether.
