Good morning and welcome to our bog for the week. It has been a very cold week with lots of ice and snow! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
Maths - This week the children have continued their work on fractions. They have been investigating converting an improper fraction into a mixed number. An improper fraction is when the numerator (top number in a fraction) is greater than the denomiator (bottom number in a fraction. For example 5/4 or 12/3. English - The children have continued work based on the poem The Dreadful Menace about a mountain. This week they have been investigating similes and metaphors, so that they can use them when they write their own independent poem about a volcano. Our certificate winner this week is Finley for meeting his own high expectations. He has been in school and on time every day this year, keeping up with his New Year's resolution. We are all very proud of Finley's achievement. Well done!
