Hello again and welcome back to year 4's blog. Hope you have all enjoyed the snow this week! 

Well, we have been busy again in year 4. In maths, we have been looking at factors and multiples. A factor is 2 numbers that multiply together to give a number. For example the factors of 15 are 1 and 15, 3 and 5.

In English, we have started to learn our new Talk for Writing text called Dragonory, we wrote some STUNNING descriptions about a dragon and they honestly blew the teacher away. 

Have a little go at describing this dragon at home. 

In P.E we started our new unit of gymnastics, the children were brilliant at leaps and jumps and tried really hard to impress. 

We are continuing with our spelling badge scheme next week. 

Bronze next ten are - 

1.  favourite - Each child chose their favourite ice cream.
2.  February - February is the shortest month.
3.  fruit – Apples are a popular fruit.
4.  grammar - At school we improve our grammar.
5.  height - The height of the child was not known.
6.  history - We do history on Thursday afternoon.
7.  imagine - Imagine what it would be like to live on the moon.
8.  interest – Do you have an interest in plants?
9.  learn – I need to learn my times tables.
10.  length – The length of the table is one metre.

1.  guide - The tour guide took us around the gardens.
2.  heard - I heard the bells ringing from far away.
3.  heart - My heart was beating so fast after running up the stairs.
4.  important - It was important to practise my spellings once a week.
5.  increase - There was an increase in crime last year.
6.  island - The aeroplane landed on a beautiful island.
7.  knowledge - You have a lot of knowledge about your topic.
8.  medicine - If you feel ill, the doctor might give you some medicine.
9.  mention - I must remember to mention that swimming is on Monday.
10.  natural - Without makeup on, you look very natural.
